After the visit to the Big Apple we took the train to Washington with a stop of a few hours in Philly.
Besides Rocky and his famous run up the stairs of the Museum of Art and the music from Bruce Springsteen, “Streets Of Philadelphia“, we did not know much about the city that was the capital of Pennsylvania Colony and where the Founding Fathers of the United States signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the Constitution in 1787. It also served as the capital of the United States while Washington was under development and construction. This is a city full of history and 8 hours are not enough to cover it all.
We started with a visit to the “Rocky staircase”, I can say that running up the stairs did not take any effort, but I think Rocky for sure went for a longe run before going up those stairs. We took photos to prove that we stood where Rocky stood before his fight with the Russian guy, I think. 😉
